Sorry to see this story end. Most loose ends are neatly tied up, although Sam's understanding of what happened with the terrorists and his concomitant perception of Dina's role in that is still unclear to me.

He's seen Dina's astonishing physical skills, the way she learned to sail and her swimming ability. He's aware of her courage. He was aware that she had easily dispatched three terrorists, but it's unclear how such an awareness might have enabled him to create a coherent sense of her uniqueness.

He's in a funk about the state of his relationship with Ashley, but Dina has gone to extraordinary lengths to repair that, befriending Ashley in the process.
